Jen 2-Year-Old Sorrel Tennessee Walking Horse/Quarter Horse Cross Filly. Currently standing 14.2 hh. If you're looking for a young horse with an exceptional foundation, this little filly deserves your attention. When we purchased her, she had never been handled. We sent her to a professional trainer for a month, and she has now accumulated approximately 20–25 rides. She has been lightly started in the arena and confidently walks, jogs, and lopes. While she is a Tennessee Walking Horse/Quarter Horse cross, her gaited side is fairly subtle. She does show some gaited tendencies, but she primarily moves around like a nice, natural riding horse. This filly has a wonderful mind. She is easy to catch, ties well, and has hauled several times without issue. In fact, she attended a horsemanship and roping clinic last week where she handled the entire experience like a seasoned horse. She took everything in stride and never missed a beat. Out on the trail, she is brave, willing, and happy to go wherever you point her. She has an even, level-headed disposition that is hard not to appreciate, especially in a 2-year-old. Don't let her age discourage you. She has received one of the best starts a young horse could ask for and has all the ingredients to become an outstanding trail horse, ranch horse, or dependable all-around partner. Her future is incredibly bright, and she's ready for someone to continue building on the excellent foundation she already has.
