RIS KEY LONE DRIFTER Ris Key Lone Drifter is a 9-year-old registered APHA gelding standing 15.2 hands, and he is the kind that turns heads wherever he goes. Big, gentle, and built the way a good using horse should be, "Drifter" combines eye appeal with a kind, easygoing disposition that makes him a pleasure to own. Speaking of owning, we owned this gelding last winter. We sold him to some folks who wanted to barrel race him but he is far too slow for that work, therefore we got him back in trade! While he will quietly go through his paces in the arena, the trail is where this gelding truly shines. He is a seasoned trail horse that will confidently go in, on, or over just about anything you point him at. Water, hills, logs, bridges, rough terrain, or traffic—he takes it all in stride with the steady attitude everyone hopes to find. One job he hasn't been asked to do yet, but we think he'd excel at, is riding under English tack. With his naturally balanced stride, attractive headset, and comfortable movement, he has all the ingredients to make a beautiful English partner for pleasure riding, fox hunting, or even jumping a course!
