2023 Bay AQHA Gelding • Plain N Dry • 15.1 HH Plain N Dry is a big, handsome, well-bred young gelding with the kind of real-world experience you simply can’t manufacture in an arena. At 15.1 hands and likely still growing, he has the size, substance, and presence to go along with a great mind. Over the last year, “Jess” has stayed busy. He spent 60 days with a professional colt starter building a correct foundation, then went on to work at several stockyards and cattle sales. He has spent plenty of time outside riding through fields, down trails, and seeing the sights that turn a young horse into a seasoned one. Jess has a nice walk, jog, and lope, is starting to turn around correctly, and is coming along nicely riding one-handed. He is willing, uncomplicated, and takes new things in stride. On the trail, we tried to find something that would make him nervous—and came up empty. He travels along with the confidence and composure of a horse with far more years under his belt. On the ground, he is just as enjoyable. He is easy to catch, good to groom, and will stand tied wherever you put him. He has that big, gentle personality that makes you want to spend time around him. Plain N Dry has been raised, started, and trained by good hands, and it shows. He may only be a 2023 model, but he carries himself like an old horse. With his breeding, size, training, and genuine working experience, Jess has a tremendous foundation and a whole lot of future ahead of him. A very cool young AQHA gelding that has already seen more of the world than many horses twice his age!
