Honda’s 2024 FourTrax Rancher ATV Comes In 8 Trims & Diverse Configurations
Honda recently took the wraps off its well-known FourTrax Rancher ATV line for the 2024 model year, and it’s fair to say the manufacturer is giving buyers a plethora of configuration options. For starters, Honda offers the FourTrax Rancher in an impressive eight trim levels that variously include Honda’s automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), Electric Power Steering (EPS), Electric Shift Program (ESP), Independent Rear Suspension (IRS), and TraxLok switchable two-wheel/four-wheel-drive systems.
Pick Your Trim
Similar to previous model year FourTrax Rancher trim choices, three of the highest-level trims include Honda’s DCT, and two of the DCT-enabled models also boast an IRS with disc brakes and 9 inches (228.6 millimeters) of clearance. Trims without DCT include a conventional manual transmission, and those without an IRS include a swingarm rear suspension with rear drum brakes. EPS is available on three trim levels to provide speed- and torque-sensitive power steering that also reduces kickback through the handlebar. Honda’s Rancher 4x4 ES and Rancher ES variants come equipped with Honda’s exclusive Electric Shift Program, which allows for convenient button-press upshifts and downshifts.
Common Features
All FourTrax Ranchers are powered by a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 420-cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine. The engine has a semi-dry-sump design that Honda says produces a lower center of gravity and better ground clearance. To help you transport gear for work or play, all FourTrax Ranchers include a front utility compartment and rugged front and rear cargo racks that work with Honda’s Pro-Connect accessories. Honda’s TraxLok Selectable 2WD/4WD system gives operators the freedom to choose between the additional traction of 4WD and the lighter steering of 2WD.
