Polaris Welcomes 570 & XP 1000 Hunt Edition Trims Back To Sportsman ATV Lineup For 2024
Polaris is reintroducing the 570 and XP 1000 Hunt configurations to its Sportsman ATV lineup for 2024. Both 4x4 models are designed with hunters in mind and include accessories like a 3,500-pound (1,587-kilogram) Polaris Winch to assist with recovering game, a Kolpin Gun Scabbard and Mount, and Kolpin Ratchet Claws.
Also in store for the Sportsman lineup are new color options for select models and refinements such as a new rear brake pedal, better sealing around the shifter, and enhanced seat fitment that create an improved riding experience for the 450 and 570 Sportsman variants.
The Sportsman Roster
The Sportsman family consists of Recreation & Utility, Touring, Sport, Special Edition, and Youth series. Polaris says the Sportsman is the No. 1 selling automatic 4x4 ATV. The company also says its 6-wheel Sportsman 6x6 570 provides 2-up capability and the industry’s largest cargo system.
Sportsman ATVs have generous towing capacities of up to 1,750 lbs (794 kg), integrated storage for hauling tools and gear, independent rear suspensions, class-leading ground clearance, and on-demand all-wheel drive. Available winch, rear pack extender, plow blade, cargo box, and other accessories make the Sportsman a solid choice for hunters, farmers, ranchers, landscaping and turf management pros, trail riders, and other customers.
On The Hunt
The 570 and XP 1000 Hunt Edition trims include numerous standard features ideal for hunting and adventure expeditions, including hand and thumb warmers, powerful LED pod and headlights, factory-installed front and rear trail bumpers and steel rack extenders, and 11.5 inches (290 millimeters) of ground clearance for traversing rough terrain.
The high-end XP 1000 Hunt Edition boasts a Polaris Pursuit Camo paint job and is powered by a 90-horsepower (67-kilowatt) twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled ProStar engine. The ATV has an LED rear work light, 27-in. (68.6-centimeter) PXT tires on 14-in. (35.6-cm) aluminum wheels for good traction in loose terrain, up to 360 lbs (163 kg) of cargo rack capacity, and 9 and 10.25 in. (229 and 260 mm) of front and rear suspension travel, respectively.
New Colors & Refinements
The Sportsman 570 is available in numerous Recreation & Utility and Touring series trims. For 2024, all but the standard configuration provides better performance in wet conditions thanks to enhanced PVT clutch sealing with a higher intake location, Polaris says. The Premium and Utility HD variants also include new LED lighting for better visibility.
Other changes to the 570 include new color options for the Premium (Storm Gray), Trail (Electric Blue), and Ride Command Edition (Granite Gray) trims. New colors are also on tap for the Sportsman 850 Premium and Ultimate Trail (Spirit Blue) trims and the Sportsman XP 1000 Ultimate Trail (Indy Red), High Lifter Edition (Onyx Black), and S (Silver Quarts Metallic) configurations, as well as for the Scrambler XP 1000 S (Lifted Lime).
