Kawasaki Mule Pro 1000 Side-By-Side UTVs Feature New Engines & Styling
Kawasaki has unleashed an all-new 2024 Mule Pro 1000 Series of side-by-side UTVs that give farmers, ranchers, landscaping companies, campers, and other users a choice of several trim, seat, and styling choices. The lineup includes Mule Pro-FX 1000 HD Edition, Mule Pro-FXR 1000, and Mule Pro-FXT 1000 utility vehicles, all packing a new 999-cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, Kawasaki parallel twin engine and a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Mule Pro 1000 Series Features
The new engine, which delivers 61.5 pounds-foot (83.4 newton-meters) of maximum torque, isn’t all these Mules have in common. They all have higher ground clearance than before, new styling upfront, and easier access to the oil and air cleaner filters for quick maintenance. Each also boasts a new independent front and rear double-wishbone suspension with increased travel and electrically selectable 2WD or 4WD and rear differential lock functionality.
The Mules have a 2,000-pound (907-kilogram) towing capacity and can haul up to 1,000 lbs (454 kg). The Pro-FX 1000 HD Edition distinguishes itself with a 20-square-foot (1.85-square-meter) diamond-plate steel cargo bed that can accommodate a standard shipping pallet with the tailgate closed. Operators can raise or lower the hydraulic tilting bed with the flip of a switch.
The Mule Pro-FX 1000 HD Edition
The HD Edition can transport up to three passengers around jobsites and tackle demanding tasks. It has all-steel front and rear bumpers and a self-leveling rear suspension, making hauling and handling heavy loads easier. The suspension system's mechanical pump helps with weight distribution by automatically raising the suspension to an ideal riding level while the vehicle is moving, resulting in better handling and braking performance.
The Mule Pro-FXR 1000
The Pro-FXR 1000 also seats up to three passengers and comes in standard and LE trims. Both are more compact than other models in the series at 122 inches (3,100 millimeters) long and 77 in. (1,956 mm) tall. Each variant also boasts a premium painted finish, stylish 2-tone contoured seats, and an upscale fit and finish that’s equally at home at a winery or sports complex while putting in a full day’s work transporting supplies and materials.
The LE trim adds more pizazz with a painted front face and cast aluminum wheels. It also has a sun top for shade, two additional cup holders, and storage beneath the driver’s seat.
The Mule Pro-FXT 1000
At 80.9 in. (2,055 mm), the Pro FXT 1000 is taller than its counterparts. It’s also the only model with the Trans Cab System, a class-exclusive feature that lets operators easily convert the Mule Pro from a 3-passenger cargo hauler to a 6-passenger crew transporter and vice versa without tools.
Buyers can choose from LE, LE Camo, LE Ranch Edition, and Platinum Ranch Edition trims. The latter two offer contoured bench seating, black and machined cast aluminum wheels, and a Warn VRX 45 powersport winch. The top-of-the-line Platinum Ranch provides additional protection features such as a steel rear bumper and brush and headlight guards. Four LED headlights and a rearview mirror enhance driver visibility.
